Friend of Culpeper County, Concerned Culpeper
Citizens (CCC) began work in mid-2001 when several citizens discovered
that County planners and private developers were advancing extremely
different proposals for future growth. CCC organized as a non-profit
corporation in November 2001and is registered under the Virginia
Solicitation of Contributions Act and with the Internal Revenue
Service (IRS) as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Current membership
is 300 as at January 1, 2007.
CCC is not a lobbying organization and does not
endorse candidates for elected office. It commissions and analyzes
studies of significant public and private policies and proposals,
which relate to its stated purpose:
"To respect and preserve the best features
of Culpeper County by providing public information regarding economic
growth as it relates to quality of life and environmental assets
within the context of the County's historical and rural legacy."
CCC publishes objective findings and expert opinions
for public information; and testifies before public boards and commissions.
Fact Sheets on current issues under study are available by contacting
the organization or one of its officers. Endorsement of CCC's purpose
will be considered membership for the purposes of future mailing
lists. Such list will not be provided to other organizations.
As we enter our seventh year of operations we would
like to thank each and every one of our supporters for your interest
in respecting and preserving Culpeper County. The Directors
