A County's Comprehensive Plan is the first major step in major improvements (or impairment) regarding County development, economics, and preservation of its core heritage.. The 2005 Comprehensive Plan was reviewed in 2009 and this is now in draft form. The Board of Supervisors are expected to approve the new plan at its September 2010 meeting. The County Planning Commission, together with County Planning Staff will hold a series of Town Hall meetings during February 2010, subject to to snow cancellations. The County Planning Director will give a short presentation, outlining the salient points in the draft plan and then the presentation will be open to questions. The public are encouraged to attend and comment and input is welcome. To view the draft 2010 CP and the dates/places for the Town Hall meetings, go to: or, if that fails, http://web.culpepercounty.gov/CountyGovernment/PlanningZoning.aspx We suggest that you read the introduction first. -o0O0o- In addition to the above meetings, other meetings may be of interest to citizens.
